About TOPCA

The Association was established with a view to foster open discussion among the membership on all issues of importance to Port Credit residents, and to be a representative voice for our views with the City of Mississauga. We are officially recognized as a Ratepayer Group by the City of Mississauga and our contact information is available through the Ward 1 webpage of Councillor Carmen Corbasson, found on the City's website.
Our Mission, simply stated is:
A VOICE FOR ALL WHO LIVE OR WORK IN
PORT CREDIT
FROM SENECA TO SHAWNMARR SOUTH OF CNR

At our latest Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Nov. 4, 2009, our Executive
of members from all parts of Port Credit was reconstituted
through the re-election of three (3) members for a new 2-year term.
Officers of the Executive are the President, Vice-President, Secretary,
and Treasurer. Click here for the names
of the Executive members and contact information. While the Executive coordinates day-to-day business of
the Association, regular members’ meetings ensure that full membership
votes are taken on key issues, and that the Executive acts in YOUR best
interest.

If you e-mail the City on any issue of concern to your neighbourhood or Port Credit, please also consider copying TOPCA@topca.net in order that the TOPCA Executive can better represent your views to the City.
The Town of Port Credit amalgamated with the new City of Mississauga in 1974, but has retained its own identity. Clarke Memorial Hall (pictured), where Port Credit’s former town council used to meet, is part of Port Credit’s heritage, and an inspiration for TOPCA: our members meetings are 'town hall meetings' where all have a voice.
TOPCA PAINTED BICYCLE PROJECT:
We are very excited about our Association's public art project in
honour of Port Credit's 175th Anniversary in 2010. With the
assistance of City Parks Programming staff, TOPCA will be acquiring,
painting and displaying several creatively painted bicycles around
Port Credit, complete with flowering plants in their baskets. In
addition, TOPCA is planning a cycling tour of Port Credit in June
2010 to highlight all the special places in this walkable/bikeable
village, followed by a community picnic.
